The CSCS Green Card Course is the CITB Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification, taught and examined in one day. It is often called the CSCS Labourer Course because passing it leads to the Green Labourer Card that site managers ask for at the gate.
The teaching covers the same ground as CITB health and safety awareness training: hazards, risk assessment, personal protective equipment, working at height, manual handling, COSHH, fire safety and how to report a near miss. Everything is delivered in plain English by tutors who talk you through it rather than read from slides, and you can ask questions as you go.
